Our Dogma Box includes organic produce that's sourced as close to Boston as possible throughout the year. Similar to a CSA or farm share, this box is filled with the best organic produce from local and regional farms each week.
Other local/regional produce:
Kohlrabi is a descendant of the wild cabbage. Its taste and texture closely resemble that of a broccoli stem, but is milder and sweeter. Some describe the flavor as mildly sweet, peppery flavor. It can be eaten either raw or cooked. Both the bulb and the leaves are edible!
To prepare: Remove the leaves from the bulb. Tip: cut into the bulb slightly so that you have a flat side to work with. You can peel the fibrous layer on the outside of the bulb, but not necessary.
To store: Remove leafy stems, then store kohlrabi in a sealed plastic bag in the refrigerator.

When in doubt, throw it in a stir fry or soup! Pair any of your veggies with a great soup broth, pasta, or rice. It's an easy way to use up your excess veggies before they go past the point of no return.
