Fresh from the Farm: Celebrate Spring

Posted by Rebecca Bilodeau on Apr 10, 2017 9:53:17 AM

There’s a lot to celebrate this week! Whether you’re preparing for an Easter brunch, a Passover seder or simply reveling in the start of spring, we have plenty of delicious organic goodies for you to enjoy.

Apples and honey

Boston Organics - Apple Beet Charoset

Apple and Beet Charoset is a marvelous seasonal recipe that can be made with the organic produce found in many of the Boston Organics Community’s boxes this week. Though it’s traditionally associated with the Passover holiday, it’s a great spread for toast and a delicious topping to organic Greek yogurt.

rise and shineBoston Organics - Easy Morning Glory Muffins

As you prepare for Easter, or maybe just a busy morning breakfast, try these simple Morning Glory Muffins. Full of flavorful spices and sweet grated carrot, these muffins are sure to satisfy any Peter Cottontails that come hopping along. Make this recipe even simpler by substituting Captain Dave’s pancake and muffin mix for the dry ingredients.

We have also added a few new flavors of Taza chocolate bars to our grocery offerings. Coconut Almond and Toffee, Almond and Sea Salt (a new staff favorite) are delicious treats, while the Taza Almond Crunch Mini Bar is a perfect addition to anyone’s Easter basket.

Check out our Holiday add-on section to help make your preparations a snap. Our add-on section is constantly expanding, especially the produce section, where you can find organic asparagus, pineapple and more to add to your box this week.

decorate these eggs

Boston Organics - Deviled Eggs Four Ways

Eggs are commonly associated with spring, and with temperatures this week forecast to hit the 70s, it finally feels like the season has arrived. Experiment with the classic recipe for deviled eggs with these four finger-licking variations, or experiment with the other contents of your box.  Even vegan friends can enjoy a variation on a spring favorite with this recipe for Eggless Egg Salad.

Have a delicious week!
