With the beginning of a new month, we are excited to introduce some exciting new fruit. Though at first they may seem familiar, they are quite special and rare. We are lucky to have a direct supply so that we can include them in upcoming Boston Organics boxes.

In these dog days of summer, we definitely find ourselves thinking about crawling into a hammock in the shade for a nap, especially when the long days are can be so full of play and activity. Whether or not you’re taking time away from work, there are plenty of ways to give yourself a mini vacation and invite some fun and whimsy into your summer—from cocktail hour snacks to frozen treats—all incorporating produce and groceries delivered right to your door.
Though it may not officially start until Memorial Day, we're getting in the mood for summer. This certainly shows in boxes this week, which include seasonal treasures from local spinach to cantaloupe to nectarines. Happy National Bike to Work Week! This week, bicycle commuters, including a few Boston Organics employees, will celebrate the many benefits of cycling. If you see our cargo bike driver on the road, be sure to give him an extra friendly wave as he delivers your produce. Boxes this week are full of colorful produce, rivaling the brightest fluorescent bike attire. As the weather keeps getting better, we’re sure we’ll see more and more cyclists on the road. We want to keep all members of the Boston Organics Community powered up, regardless of how they choose to get around.
Though last week's rain may have kept you inside, the blossoms and buds on the trees didn't seem to mind. The sky was gray, but there is now a beautiful array of color—soft pink, rich magenta, cheery yellow, fresh green—to feast your eyes upon. This week's boxes will feature an array of seasonal colors, especially spring greens and soft oranges, and plenty of tasty veggies to prepare a different kind of feast.
