There's no doubt about it, the Boston Organics Community sure ate well in 2016. Our farm partners and other suppliers kept us in fresh fruits and vegetables all year long, and it was a joy to see the shift from citrus and root crops in the winter to tomatoes and stone fruit in the summer, and to enjoy all the delicious produce in between.

To start 2017 off on the right foot, we decided to share our  top-clicked recipes of the past year, to offer the opportunity to reprise tasty favorites or to find new inspiration for the year ahead.

Boston Organics - Carrots1. oven roasted carrots and kale

Meet your new favorite way to eat your favorite veggies. This recipe is simple and delicious, certainly more than the sum of its parts.

mushrooms with pasta

The perfect supper for a winter's night. Hearty squash and savory mushrooms make this a flavorful and satisfying meal.

Boston Organics - Chopped Kale3. raw kale salad with parmesan and lemon olive oil dressing

To make this salad extra delicious, try gently massaging the sliced kale with a little olive oil to make it perfectly tender before adding the lemony dressing.

Carnival Squash4. baked carnival squash with

Smoked bacon, sweet personal-sized squash, savory rosemary. This hearty combination is sure to make you say "Mmmmm", and you definitely won't want to share the other half.

Boston Organics - beets and thyme5. oven roasted potatoes and beets with
garlic lemon thyme dressing

Beets and potatoes are brightened by cheerful citrus and warming thyme in this delicious recipe.

Boston Organics - Mashed Sweet Potatoes6. garlic basil mashed sweet potatoes

Some of our favorite things come together in a single bowl in this bright, buttery mash. We love the blend of the sweetness of the potatoes with savory garlic and basil.

Boston Organics - Sunchokes and Garlic7. sauteed sunchokes with Garlic and bay leaves

Sunchokes are the tasty, tasty enigma of root veggie season. With an appearance slightly like ginger and a flavor slightly like artichokes they are surely a wintertime treat. In this recipe, simply sautee them in garlic to enjoy their unique flavor.
