Working from home comes with so many freedoms, and different challenges than the traditional workplace. You have the power to set your own working schedule but, family and pets are just around the corner as a welcomed distraction. Here are some tips to help you productively work from home and avoid cabin fever!

Family, roommates, or neighbors may be a distraction and setting boundaries may be necessary. Set a schedule, stick to it, and communicate it to people that may enter your space. This will help you maintain a work-life balance!

Schedule Breaks

It may be tempting to work through lunch and breaks, but be wary of burning yourself out. Separate yourself from screens, put your phone on airplane mode, and do something that brings you joy!

Make lunch a fun activity!

Cooking can be really relaxing. It’s a great way to take a long break, get creative on the stove, and nourish your body.

Take a walk in the park

You may be social distancing to flatten the curve (flattening the exponential curve of the number of people affected by COVID-19 over time), but you may be feeling like a prisoner in your own home. Maintain at least 6 ft distance away from strangers, avoid  but go soak up some vitamin D. When you return home, remember to wash your hands!
