While the Patriots were a long, long shot for this year's Super Bowl borrowing a page or two from our Boston Organics recipe playbook is a sure thing for your viewing party.

Kickoff Time

Wings are classic sporting event and bar food, but these Pakoras (Indian Spiced Vegetable Fritter) are such a delicious twist that no one will be able to keep away. The crunch and spicy kick are irresistible, especially when dipped into raita or an easy, fruity jarred chutney. And they showcase the best of the season in winter's root vegetables and leafy greens. Other wing-like substitutes could be Spicy Crispy Tofu Bites, Fried Chard Stems with Blood Orange Aioli and Buffalo Cauliflower.

Show StopperFeta Dip

For many Super Bowl Party attendees the game may not be the main attraction. No judgment here. Delicious game time snacks; splashy, funny ads; and, of course, the halftime show are worthy of attention and have their own ardent fan bases.

Keep everyone happy (and make things easy on yourself) with delicious, show stopping dips! Serve carrot and radish slices with broccoli florets, slices of turnip, radish wedges or even green beans, accompanied by a flavorful dip.  Avocado-based Green Goddess Dip can be adapted to include different herbs. Add some garlic for a kick, or try adding pea shoots in place of an herb for a fresh flavor. Slightly spicy Pistachio Feta Dip (pictured here) is another great option. For a greens-packed version of the pleasing spinach and artichoke combo, we like this Cheesy Kale, Spinach and Artichoke Dip. And of course there's the classic and wildly popular Guacamole.

No Super Bowl experience is complete without a super bowl of chili. Make a big batch, spread out the toppings - avocado, tortilla chips, chopped scallions, hot sauce, cheese, sliced radishes, sour cream - the sky's the limit here and let everyone craft their own bowl of perfection! We've got numerous great chili recipes. Mix it up with tofu-based Honey Spiced Chili (pictured here) that's sure to please or try Root Vegetable and Black Bean Chili or Vegan Quinoa and Sweet Potato Chili or simple Vegetarian Chili, with a spicy kick from jalapeno peppers.

Have a delicious week!
