How local is your box this week?

Posted by Boston Organics on Sep 6, 2019 10:32:34 AM

Our customers do not need to choose the Dogma box to support local farmers. Though there is no legal definition for the term "local", at Boston Organics we take a more regional approach by sourcing much of our local produce from the northeast region (Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine).

Let's take a peak into our Standard and Specialty boxes this week to find out which have the most local produce!

Fresh from the Farm: Happy Bike to Work Week

Posted by Rebecca Bilodeau on May 15, 2017 9:16:33 AM

Happy National Bike to Work Week! Here at Boston Organics, we have a handful of staff who regularly cycle to the office, and one dedicated rider who does so no matter the weather, braving rain and snow. Fortunately, neither of those is on the horizon this week; the forecast is calling for beautiful, sunny days (for the later part of the week, anyway). What better time to take your bike out for a spin? Regardless of how you choose to get around, the produce in this week’s boxes will help nourish you and inspire you to lean in to spring.

Fresh from the Farm: Staying Healthy

Posted by Rebecca Bilodeau on Feb 6, 2017 8:48:20 AM

The days are getting longer, hinting at warmth and sunlight to come. In the meantime, however, we have many long cold days ahead of us, and are not quite through cold and flu season. Stay healthy for the remainder of the winter by getting enough rest, washing your hands thoroughly and by eating a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. Nutritionists often recommend “eating the rainbow” to ensure that you are maintaining a healthy diet. The wide spectrum of color found in your Boston Organics box this week is sure to help you meet that goal and nourish you throughout the season, and the year.
