In early March, Jeff, Jill, and Caroline went to the SBN's 8th Annual Local Food Trade Show event held at Northeastern University. The Local Food Trade Show is designed to facilitate connections and stimulate business relationships between producers and wholesale buyers of local food, with a focus on specialty crop food products in Massachusetts.

Don’t be fooled by the sunchoke—nothing is what it seems. With more names than the devil, sunchokes/Jerusalem artichokes/sunroots can intimidate those unfamiliar the scraggly root vegetable.

This week's box features shiitake mushrooms, which are crazy nutritious but also delicious. If you're a mushroom fan, shiitakes are likely one your list of favorites (they're so much more flavorful and complex than boring white button mushrooms!). You'll encounter shiitakes in various forms in a lot of Asian cuisine, like miso soup and many stirfries. Today we've got a recipe that calls for roasting the mushrooms and we think you're going to love it.
