Typical of this time of the year, leafy greens are in great abundance, while much of the rest of our favorite seasonal produce is still ripening on the vine. Organic chard, kale, spinach, lettuce and bok choy are all coming from Atlas Farm this week. We can't help but wonder, what are we supposed to do with all of these organic greens?!

It’s raining, it’s pouring and our farmers are breathing a sigh of relief. While these spring showers may have unhinged a few of our weekend plans, it’s a welcome storm for some of our farmers who have been fretting over increasingly abnormal weather patterns.

This week marks the beginning of the "local season" for the Boston Organics Community. Atlas Farm, historically our largest supplier of local produce throughout the year, is bringing us their first harvest of leafy greens including arugula, kale and green leaf lettuce.

The organic tomatoes in this week's boxes come from Long Wind Farm, located right on the border between Vermont and New Hampshire. Dave Chapman founded Long Wind Farm in 1984 and has become an expert in growing juicy tomatoes that not only look good, but taste good, too.
