As summer vacation starts to wind down, some of the best organic fruits and vegetables are just starting to arrive. Fresh corn and Asian eggplant fill many of the Boston Organics Community’s boxes this week, and Dwight Miller and Son Orchards will share their first apple harvest of the season with us, as well. Meanwhile, Kitchen Garden and Atlas Farm each have special tomatoes that are just begging to be eaten.

The bountiful harvests from our local farm partners continue this week with an absolute rainbow of color. Bright red tomatoes, summer squash and fresh corn on the cob round out a cornucopia that also includes several leafy greens, blueberries and eggplants.

With fresh produce coming from seven local farms this week, it's hard to decide what we're most excited for. We're obviously giddy over the field tomatoes from Blue Ox Farm and the organic sweet corn from Lakeside Organics of Hadley. And Dwight Miller and Son Orchards is sure to wow us again with more spectacular Vermont blueberries.
